Grade 3 EQAO sample questions
For Grade 3 students, the EQAO sample questions cover topics such as reading comprehension, writing, and math. Some of the sample questions include:
- What does “gorge” mean in the following sentence? “The hikers walked along the edge of the gorge.”
- Write a story about a time when you had to be brave.
- Solve the following problem: “If Emily has 12 marbles and she gives 4 marbles to her friend, how many marbles does she have left?”
Grade 6 EQAO practice tests
For Grade 6 students, the EQAO practice tests cover similar topics but are more complex. Some of the sample questions include:
- Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow: [Passage about the history of the telephone]
- Write a persuasive essay arguing for or against the use of cellphones in schools.
- Solve the following problem: “If a rectangular garden measures 8 meters by 12 meters, what is the area of the garden?”
